2008 Exhibit Information

AIA Kansas has developed a decidedly different Exhibition this year in Wichita at the Bob Jones Expo Hall at the Century II Convention Center.  All Friday events will be held in the Expo Hall!

Move in Thursday, October 9th between 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Exhibit Day - Friday, October 10th – 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

8:30 – 10:00 am Conference Welcome with Exhibitor’s Pecha Kucha –
What’s a Pecha Kucha?  Pecha Kucha (pronounced peh-chak-cha) is an event that keeps presentations concise, the interest level up and to have many presenters sharing their information one after the other.  After the Welcome by the our conference hosts, each exhibition will be given a short (very short) time to tell about what you will be exhibiting or what new products or services you have, or just let attendees know what booth you are in.  The amount of time each exhibitor has will be determined by the number of booths we have.

10:00 – 11:00 am  Break and Exhibits

11:00 am – Noon General Session (in Exhibit Hall)

Noon – 1:00 pm Lunch with Attendees and Exhibitors – this will be a sit-down lunch for both attendees and exhibitors.  Exhibitors will be able to visit with three different tables as they do a “progressive lunch.”  The exhibitor will sit at one table for the appetizer, take his/her silverware to another table for the entrée, and then move to a third table for dessert.  Exhibition fee includes two lunches (others may be added for an additional fee.)

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Exhibits Open

2:00 pm – 3:00 pm General Session (in Exhibit Hall)

3:00 pm – 3:45 pm Break and Exhibits, Prizes and Giveaways

3:45 pm Exhibitor Move Out

3:45 pm – 5:15 pm Attendees to Hyatt Hotel for Breakout Sessions

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm Celebration of Architecture – presentations and awards – exhibitors invited to attend.  Requires separate registration

Show Services Provided:
• 10’w x 10'd, piped and draped booth, table, 2 chairs, and signage.
• All exhibitors are listed in the on-line conference materials.
• An attendee list is e-mailed to exhibitors after show
• Floor is concrete – no carpet
Electrical connections are NOT included; information on electricity will be mailed with your exhibitor packet.

Exhibitors Promoted Online
All exhibitors will be listed on the AIA Kansas website in the interactive exhibitor layout. As soon as your booth number is confirmed, your name and contact information will be added to the layout. It will include an email contact and a direct link to your website. The layout will be available for six months after the show to make it easy for our members to find you.

On site Exhibit Manager
Cytek Media, of Topeka, is our exhibit contractor. You will receive an exhibitor packet with information about additional furnishings, and set-up or tear-down assistance. Call Cytek at 785-295-4200.

Cost
$750 - single booth $1300 - double booth
 Two lunches are included per booth, if you would like additional tickets, they are $25 each.

Allied members and 2007 Exhibitors receive a 10% discounts; if both 20%.

Liability:
It is expressly understood and agreed by the signing of the registration form that the Exhibitor assumes the entire responsibility and liability for losses, damages and claims arising out of the injury or damage to exhibitor’s person, display, equipment and other property brought onto the premises of Century II or the Hyatt Hotel. The Exhibitor shall hold harmless AIA Kansas, Century II and the Hyatt Hotel and their agents, servants and employees from any and all such losses, damages and claims. Exhibitors playing copyrighted music in the exhibit hall are responsible for all royalties.

Overnight accommodations are available at the Wichita Hyatt Hotel, 400 West Waterman, Wichita, KS 67202, 316-293-1966, 800-233-1234 or on www.hyatt.com.  A special conference rate of $116 is available if you say you are attending the American Institute of Architects or AIA Kansas conference.

Cancellation:

A full refund of exhibit fees, less a $50 processing fee, will be issued if space is cancelled in writing prior to 1 August 2008. A 50% refund will be issued if cancelled in writing by 1 September, after which fees are not refundable.
