About the Event
As the world strives to safely reopen public spaces, what can designers do to ensure that preventing pathogen exposure and spread through architecture is equitable for persons with disabilities? (PWD) Covid 19 is neither the first – nor the last - pathogen designers must contemplate for PWD. The course covers targeted and specific pathogen control strategies for persons with vision, hearing, and mobility impairments including touching of surfaces; the intersection of time and exposure; HVAC; virus viability on surfaces, queuing strategies, public wayfinding apps, and more.
This program benefits design, maintenance, and facilities personnel, human resources, or anyone involved in reopening business, retail, schools, and other spaces.
