AIA Flint Hills

AIA Flint Hills is a section within the AIA Kansas Chapter. Centered around the city of Manhattan, Kansas, the Flint Hills Component organizes a number of events throughout the year for our nearly 50 members and often in collaboration with the Kansas State University AIAS student Chapter.

These events include frequent “Talking Tuesday” presentations by regional architects, professors, and the student editors of the annually published journal Oz. We also host an annual “Spring Social” event and coordinate other opportunities for seminars and presentations yielding AIA Learning Units.

In April 2019 the AIA Flint Hills co-sponsored an exhibition, Persistent, and lecture by the AIA College of Fellows biennial Latrobe Prize recipients who are researching precedents and strategies for resilient and “future-use” buildings.
