Spanning the Kansas River between Kansas City and Kansas City, Kansas, the 121-year-old steel railroad bridge sat unused for decades before reopening this spring as a vibrant destination featuring restaurants, bars, event space, and a trailhead. Developed by Flying Truss, the project is believed to be the nation's first entertainment district built on a bridge over a river.
