CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 1
The AIA Kansas annual conference will be going virtual this fall due to the changes brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic. Our theme, Milestones: The Through Lines, was to look at the many significant points in an architectural career. Well, unfortunately, we find ourselves at a truly transformative milestone, and our theme is presciently relative in a somewhat narrower sense.
In light of this, we are rethinking our conference offerings. Now, we are more specifically looking for presentations in one of two general themes.
Marking the New Practice: Strategies for the Covid, post-Covid practice. What have you learned through the disruption and what changes have you made, etc.? Are career paths changing?
Spaces and Places: What is the new place of work about, the new education space, the public place, the event space. How are you serving your clients in the new normal? Are there new avenues of service opening up or other unforeseen opportunities? What aspects of health safety and welfare can be rediscovered?
We are working diligently to ensure that our conference provides relevant, high-quality content for our members and the profession. We hope that you will consider sharing your expertise, experience and knowledge on a milestone important to you.
Submitted presentations not chosen for the 2020 Milestones Conference will be considered for other education events throughout the year.
