About the Event
AIA DC is working with the local building department (with the support of Director Ernest Chrappah) to redesign the permitting process in DC. The outcome of this effort is to substantially reduce review times by refining the application processes so that it works for everyone, including architects, city staff and average citizens. Through careful planning and collaboration, AIA DC arrived at a solution that is currently being implemented by the department. Participants will learn more about this exciting initiative and explore introducing a similar effort through their own component.
